Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Unccountant ("we", "us") provides bookkeeping, accounting, and fractional financial services. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the application form, we collect what you enter: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and your answers about your business and the state of your books. We collect this because we cannot scope an engagement or decide whether we're a fit without it.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These are generated by the web server itself and are used for security and troubleshooting.

What we do not collect on this site

How we use it

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build marketing profiles.

Who processes it

Form submissions are processed by our form provider and delivered to our business email. Website hosting is provided by a third-party host. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own terms. We use reputable providers and limit what we send them to what the form itself collects.

How long we keep it

Applications from people we don't work with are kept for a reasonable period in case circumstances change, then deleted. Records relating to actual client engagements are kept as long as required for professional, contractual, and tax purposes.

Confidentiality of client information

Information you share with us as a client is confidential. We do not disclose client financial information to third parties except where you direct us to, where a client engagement requires it, or where we're legally compelled. Our professional obligations on this point are stricter than this policy.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information in our possession. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we're required to retain. Email us and we'll respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law. We'll honor valid requests under applicable law.

Children

This is a service for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
